Thank you for your Christmas wishes. I survived staying at my son's girlfriends Mother's house. No sleep in a strange bed. No getting up from the toilet without help. I have a tall one. My family all agree, is was a strange experience. We we try to get together for New Years. Hope you had a wonderful Xmas, and DO HAVE a wonderful New Years.

Hi Vici. Thank you for the birthday greeting! We had a wonderful holiday, capped off by a couple of days along the coast after the family left on the 26th. We just got home -- in time for my husband to prepare me the dinner of my choice for my special day. Oh, how I love my birthday!!!

Hi Vici! I'm just checking back over the site after coming back from a sojourn up the coast with my in-laws and I've just seen the picture of Sam and Jenny from 28 December. The dog on the left looks so much like Schultz my heart skipped a beat. Next time you see them, please give that one an extra special hug for me!

Thank you for liking my tiger. I couldn't think of what to have for an avatar, then shosho kind of inspired me when she was talking about being a tiger (chinese year of...) and I am one too, and I believe with this next Chinese New Year, it will be another year of the tiger...

Did you know that having a tiger in the household is supposed to protect against fire, but having 2 is the recipe for disaster? (according to Chinese mythos)(domestic problems when tigers share the home)

I am near the western edge of Colorado, quite a drive to other side of the rockies.

Hi Vici, I notice from today's post that it is snowing in your neck of the woods. Ironically, the forecast here is for it to reach 43ºC (about 109ºF) today. If we could only mix the two, life would be fairly pleasant.
Anne and I have returned from our three weeks travelling with friends in our motorhome. We had a great time and there are a few photos in my gallery.
I hope you are well and enjoying life by the fireside.
