Dino, I'm so glad that you are safe(ish). I regularly use the BOM radar images to watch the weather approaching and decide whether it is time to take the washing off the line. The relevant picture for your area is http://mirror.bom.gov.au/products/IDR022.loop.shtml#skip
If you select 'weather observations' you can see the current wind direction and speed, the temperature and the rainfall. The radar sweeps around and the 'loop' shows four successive sweeps. You can then see thunderstorms approaching. Explore the site, it is quite interesting.

Dino, thank you for thinking of us. They have a new Ed Dept policy now and have closed the schools tomorrow, I assume those in the high risk areas. Not sure whether we will go off the mountain early or just watch the CFA site for info. Really makes me wonder why I am bothering to do any house painting at all!
And thank you so much for your kind words about my Mum and Dad's photo. My heart does a little lurch every time I open my page. Sometimes I think it would be easier to take the photo down but other times I smile when I see it. It is still very raw. I am driving over to Adelaide next Thursday to help Bill (dad) pack my mother's clothes etc and I am shipping her bedroom suite over to here (it was my single suite before I moved out of home). He offered it to me and I think he would be quite happy for her things to be out of his place and lovingly kept in mine.

Thanks for your comment on the mystery picture supporting my most recently posted poem in my gallery.
The treble clef symbol is so much more artistic than the bass clef - although I agree that the notes look rather too much like golf-clubs. I am thankful for your critique as I had not recognised the points you have just made. I still regard the picture as a most approopriate illustration - so - thank-you again

Dino, thanks for the birthday greeting. I am extending my 2 day birthday on sudokuland to an entire week so, you are not late at all! All the messages I have received from all over the world sure have brightened my week, thank you for thinking of me.

Hi Dino! Was just glancing over past messages on my page and reread the knee replacement note you sent. Such timing! I had an appointment with the orthopedic folks today for my knee, had a lovely physician's assistant who was excellent, she agreed that the time is not right just yet for replacement, so we are doing therapy and occasional cortisone shots. But I have your positive words in my mind should the time for surgery rears its head! Between sciatica and the knee I have not been able to do my yoga classes, a great sorrow for me, I miss the exercises, the deep relaxation, and the camaraderie of my small group. It is such a positive element in my life!
