Hi Eve, Thanks for dropping by my page. I will try to make it more interesting one of these days. So, where in So. OR are you? Just curious as my mom's family homestead is in Cave Junction.

Hi again - I haven't been to Jacksonville since I was in Jr High, but I remember I liked it there. We spent some time in Ashland on that trip too and I remember liking Jacksonville a lot more, even though everyone raves about the Shakespeare festival in Ashland. Leave me to the forest and nature and I am a happy camper! I grew up on the north side of the state, in the Columbia River Gorge. Pretty place and lots of forest there too. Have a good week. - Terri

Thanks for the great welcome. It is spring here in Melbourne but we have a reputation for changeable weather. Beautiful one day horribly the next. Hope to have a nice page one day. I will have to have a play with it one my fast internet kicks back in, in a couple of days.

G'day Eve, Thanks so much for your good wishes for Liz and her new cochlear implant. All is going very well. It's early days yet and she has about 2 months of training to go in how to interpret the sounds she hears, so she hasn't yet been able to understand the words to songs on the radio. She still lipreads as it's her second nature to do so and it will be some time before she can rely on her hearing only. She'll get there though. Thanks again. Kate (Tree Sheila)

You're right, Eve ... any fire is a bad one. Just FYI ... the Santiago fire is in Orange County. None of the San Diego County fires has yet to be declared arson, but it's always a possibility. We feel very blessed to have avoided any serious harm. Thanks for caring.

Thank you so much for you're assistance! The pix I would like to use is that one of my dog on my page. Where do I go from there? I'm leaving this land of smoke and ashes for bluer skies...we are leaving in the AM for Hawaii...i'm hoping to be able to access Sudoku from my hotel...but, incase that isn't successful, I'll be back in 2 weeks. Then I'll need to learn how to post more pix of my trip so you all can enjoy it vacariously. Thanks again...

hey Eve, we had a much beloved tape of Nilsson singing the Lime and Coconut song that my husband once played a little excessively on a family holiday, and we haven't seen since. Our daughter recently confessed that she threw it out of the car window.....12 years ago! Nice to hear Kermit's version!

Loved the yutube.
I remember driving to work 27 miles each day in a Kaiser auto. 10 miles to the gallon. Cost 3.33 a week. That was in 1951.

Eve, thanks for stopping by -- all the way from the other side of the U.S.! Yes, I play piano - it's very relaxing and satisfying. I have a handful of beginner and intermediate students who take lessons each week. It's fun to see them advance in their music skills and abilities.
Enjoy some Hershey miniatures from our side of the continent!

Eve dear thank you for the wonderful pie. It was yummy.
I have no idea how to pick out wine so I brought an assortment starting a Thunderbird and Boone's farm to Château Cheval Blanc Saint-Emilion 2004. (Had to look the expensive one up--apparently I know cheap wine).
Happy Halloween to you.

Yum! Thanks, Eve, for the pumpkin chiffon pie. I hope you found the riesling and shiraz bottles and helped yourself! (Not to mention the leftover KitKat, Aero and Coffee Crisp treats ...) Like I always say, Chocolate: Not just for breakfast anymore. Enjoy the rest of your week. We're taking a blessed weekend off to do whatever we want--no emptying the house of mom's stuff--we need a break. It's been tense, that's for sure.

Thanks for the pie, Eve. Looks like you've been busy baking - I see many comments from others thanking you too.

I saw your comment on today's (Nov. 2) hard puzzle asking about the Desert Museum. I wrote a long comment - go read it to learn more. It's a great place, a must-see in my book.
