Hi Vici - thanks for letting me know that my pictures were on the sudoku puzzles on the 5th. Sorry it has taken so long for me to thank you as I went to work on Friday and have been baby sitting all weekend as my daughter was moving house. We are pooped 'cause I am not used to having him all day! He is such a sweetie but everything wears thin when you are tired.

Thank you sweet friend for the birthday greetings. Hearing from all my cyber friends sure has added to my enjoyment of this 2 day celebration here in Sudokuland.

We are off shortly for shopping and lunch and errands. Not a bad way to spend the day, means I do not have to cook today hehehe.

Yahoo, Vici! Three weeks in Australia! You'll love it. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Sydney is spectacular (the red and blue on-off buses are a great way to familiarize yourself with the city). Food's quite expensive, so be prepared. Melbourne is wonderful, too--we took a bus trip to the 12 Apostles and grabbed a helicopter ride over them. You can't miss the Penguin Parade on Philips Island. And the Jenolan Caves are beautiful, but if you go, take Dramamine before getting on the bus. We also spent some time at a wonderful place called Palm Cove so we could day-trip out to the reef. We'd love to go again, next time hitting Adelaide, Tasmania and a longer stay on one of the Great Barrier Reef Islands. What can I say? I'm jealous! But I shouldn't pout ...our recent trip to Belgium and France was filled with great memories. Ah, to travel the world--so much beauty out there.

I do hope we can meet while you are here, either in Sydney or in Melbourne. I hear there is to be a Halloween party in Melbourne during your visit which might just be enough to tempt us to drive down. We'll see.

Hope you had a lovely 4th - mine was quiet, I chose to stay home to be a calm role model for my new doggy - had no idea just how Jasper would react to fire crackers and such in the neighborhood. Fortunately, aside from a lot of head tilting and intense listening, he took it all in stride!

I just went through your photo gallery - enjoyed seeing your family and friends, your home (the snow photos are beautiful) and places you've been, and the flowers!

Hi Vici! Thanks for the Independence Day greeting! I am getting a taste of rural small town celebrations and living. I'm way off in the boon docks, takes long drives to get to the nearest shopping mall, grocery stores, or anywhere worth going to! But in 2 weeks I'll be back in LA, soooo ready for the closeness of all essentials!
