Thank you Ian, I am very pleased that you told her to contact me. Fi has always been someone whom I would love to meet. Here's hoping it happens.
I almost had the chance to meet up with Margo last July when we were over in Adela but again, it was a case of schedules not matching up. I will be going to Adelaide quite often from now on to keep an eye on my father so maybe...
I hope you are both well. When is the next great adventure? Scott passes on his regards. Love to you both from us both!

Hello Ian, thanks for confirmation on yesterday's 'Dubbo' picture. I liked the photo, and thought that it was so different from much of the usual 'australian' scenery we get photos of. The background and the lamp post looked very European or American I thought.
Couldn't resist a little dig
I really enjoy your photos. Hope you had a good trip recently. See you around.

Hello Ian and Anne, it was lovely to see you both again today!! We both enjoyed the afternoon very much, and June was a wonderful hostess, and her avian friends provided such lively entertainment!! Laura is also a little gem, and it is good to see Sharon looking so well.
Thank you also for your birthday visit and wishes the other day, it made the day even more special!

Hello there Ian and Anne,
It was great to catch up with you in Darwin and it seems you have been busy catching up with lots of Newsouthwelshmen and Yanks :) over Easter.
I've been down with my Mum but am back up in Darwin once more. This trip was devoted entirely to family - I didn't see any of my freidsn who I usually visit - even the ones in Bendigo.
IT's Drue's birthday tomorrow and he suggested that we went out to the Jetty for tea. I told him that he had missed his chance last week.... but we wil go out somewhere.
I also wated to send my Easter blessings to you. I hope that you have enjoyed your Easter break (if you have had one).
You are probably aware from the odd comment that I throw, that I am a Christian and Easter has special significance to Christians.
If you would like to paste the following link into your browser, I have prepared a christian Easter card and message for my sudoku friends.

If not - Blessings anyway and it's great that you have been having such a lovely time

You'll need to see today's Medium. Your photo behind the puzzle triggered the memory that I had dreamed about you last night. Evidently in my mind you were the metaphor for what I like about this sudoku site: global friendliness and world photography. Doing the puzzles every day is like getting into a plane and making little trips here and there. In fact, in my puzzle comments yesterday I even said it seemed like I was taking a trip around the world. Also, I had just phoned my mom and we talked about doing puzzles, hence all the elements that came together in the dream.

Ian, thank you for the Mark Vincent video. I listened to all three songs, the semi-final and the final. That man (with his talent and voice he is no boy) has a wonderful career ahead of him, and he will bring joy and tears to many people in the future!

Ian, I just went back to your page one and saw that I was quite involved in the redecoration that happened when you were away. I remember you telling me in Darwin and knew that we were into "that sort of thing back when pages started" but had forgotten my own involvement in Your particular room- Knew that I had redecorated Cols and Rosemary's. It had slipped into the recesses of my middleaged memory but all came flooding back to me. ... and CP too. What a hoot that we have all caught up in Darwin in the past month.

Hi there Ian,
It will be good to see you on your return, McAthur. Surely you can do better than him. He never did I think.
That poem that I keyboarded (doesn't sound as good as "penned" does it)yesterday, I sent around to my family and cousins whose Grandfather he was.
Have just heard from my sister that my cousins son is in the airforce and marched in Melbourne wearing his Great grandfather's medals WW1, and his great uncle's Military Cross WW2.
My mother at 88, marched too. Apparently it was very moving as men and women applauded as she passed. I guess at 88 to march in the ANZAC march, one deserves some applause.

Maureen, Mark did all the hard work. He has a spine-tingling voice and I think he will go a long way - provided he husbands his talent wisely.

Ian, things are going great. We enjoyed Uluru and Alice Springs very much. We loved the Kuranda train, the skyrail over the rainforest, and the Great Barrier Reef, but are starting to get pretty tired. Hope things are well with you.

David and I thank you for the 40th anniversary wishes, Ian! Our two sons and their wives held a beautiful outdoor celebration reception for us. It was picture-perfect Spring weather... sun shining, birds singing, flowers blooming, etc. Celebrating with over 40 friends & family was truely the icing on the cake of our wonderful life together. Even my 93-year-old mother was able to attend from 200 miles away.
And a belated congratulations to you both on your milestone anniversary, also!
(Enjoyed your photo gallery very much!)

Ian, I forgot to follow this up: "Hi Judy, I'm doing reasonable well - for an old feller. I have an appointment with my cardiologist tomorrow which will tell me more about recent tests. Thank you for asking.
How are you doing?" I hope you got a good report from the cardiologist, please let me know. I'm feeling better these days, especially on the sunny ones -- dry air is so much easier to breathe, of course. Cheers!

Hi there Ian,
I'm not often on site these days... am on a borrowned laptop... My own crashed and after a month is back but I haven't configured it yet.
Hope that you and Anne are doiing well. I just posted this for you on TOUGH but to save you looking it up ... here tis...
Things is Crook in Tallarook was a hit album released in 1952. by Jack O’Hagan who was one of Australia’s most prolific song-writers who also penned The Road to Gundagai ... so whether the saying preceded the song or not... I reckon you would have been a school kid in 1952 when the saying was at it's hey day.. Tis still used from time to time in Aussie slang.

Hi, Ian! My goodness, you're fast! I love your shell photos - particularly the Venus Comb Murex. I will have to take pictures of some of my shells. I mostly have whelks, but I've picked up some interested murexes (sp?) and a conch or two. As I mentioned on "Easy", most of my shells are packed away in boxes, but perhaps today's discussion will motivate me to go dig them out!!! I'll let you know when I've posted pictures.
Cheers!

Ian, it was a nice surprise to find your note on my page - thanks for stopping by. I have looked at your shell photos & can tell you right off that few of the shells we have can come close to the beauty of yours! We have never taken any photos of them, but maybe we should some day. I used to have them displayed around our Jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom, but we packed them all away when we remodeled in there. I'm actually not sure where those particular boxes are - we have so MANY boxes of stuff sitting around right now! After the current kitchen work is done I hope to finally start unpacking & arranging things again. Eventually when I find the box of shells, maybe I'll ask Rob (he's the better photographer) to take some photos. But I'm sorry there won't be any to share with you for quite awhile!
