Hey Super-Star Ian!

I am so happy - yesterday I activated my DSL and finally, I can see all your photos in your gallery! And fast, too! So many pictures I admired as puzzles are there, I had such a good time looking at them again!

Hi Ian,
Great photo gallery. Can't remember dropping in previously - which surprises me.
yes Andrew is a fellow pilot, but not your sort of vehicle it seems. He flies rotary wing but has a fixed wing commercial licence that he doesn't use much. He has about 2500 hrs mostly R22 and R44 but has about 500 Bell 206. Does mostly ag and mining support.
Dad received his OAM for his services to his local community and being a thrice published historian. He ran the local newpaper in his town for 40 + years and assisted many families with their family histories. Mostly the editing he did free of charge. He also was one of 3 people that set up (and still volunteers 3 times a week) the local museum. Not bad for a bloke who is 88 who was 18 when WW2 broke out but was rejected for active service due to severe asthma - and is now the most spritely, energetic bloke you'll ever meet.

Dear Ian and Anne,

Thank you so much for your kind thoughts. Prior to my brother's passing, the family put together a beautiful photo album of his life, and as I went through my pictures of our early childhood to contribute to the project, I was reminded time and again of what a wonderful life we had. My memory bank is overflowing, and this will tide me over the difficult times ahead. Thanks for caring.

Hi Ian. Sorry for not dropping for so long (actually I have a couple of times but been interrupted and have not been able to stay!). Checked your photos again - that's a great collection of cars you've had, even though I've probably only seen a small portion! Thanks for your tribute to my photos, that is high praise indeed coming from one as talented as you are!!

G'day Ian! I'm slowly catching up on Sudoku after our long trip to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, & Cambodia. Thanks for leaving me a birthday greeting on my page on Dec. 4. I had a wonderful day which began when we watched the sun rise at Angkor Wat in Cambodia - unforgettable! I have posted only one picture of our trip on my page so far, but I will try to whittle down the thousands of pictures we took to just our favorites & post them on Flickr as soon as I can find time. Meanwhile, Rob & I wish you & your family a very Merry Christmas and

Enjoyed your gallery once more, Ian! I assume you and Anne are popping off to visit family during the Christmas hols, yes? Have a wonderful, safe holiday! I can't believe Christmas is so close - but our weather here in West Virginia is giving us a taste of "proper" winter cold. As I wrote my Dutch friend, we had warmish weather, then cold, then rain, then sleet followed by snow, then ice - and that was just Monday! She and her S.O. are coming to the States on Christmas to go to friends in Virginia, then will venture north to see me at New Year's - I sure hope the weather is good during that period!

I enjoyed browsing your eclectic photo gallery! Lots of fun things! I have a friend who does fine woodworking, and I love to visit his shop to see what he's doing, admire the fine joinery, and fondle the silky wood when he has finished it! I've also been enjoying your photos on the jigsaw puzzle site!

Hi, Ian!

I've seen a lot of your photos on this site! I especially like your nature photos, but the architecture shots are also very interesting. I've submitted a few photos, but have no idea when (or if) they will be used. Does Gath use the same photos for the Sudoku puzzles as for the jigsaw puzzles? I only do the jigsaws, so I don't know. Anyway, it's fun to see all the photos -- but some more than others, and yours are always a treat! (though sometimes somewhat sadistic, if I remember correctly!

Oh, NO!! The only way to check the photos used on Sudoku or kids' pages is to view them as a jigsaw (unless you're actually going to DO them)?? That means 4 MORE puzzles to tempt me every day!

Thanks for the info, Ian. I guess some of mine might have been used already on the other sites -- I just won't know! Oh, well ... just kind of fun to share them. (now that I've figured out how to resize them to Gath's specs, using the web resizer program, referred to me by dino (I think)). It also sounds like there is a backlog of photos, so it could be awhile. But then, we had a whole spate of photos of the CA coastline from Wagdy ... who knows how Gath picks them?

Come on, now, there must be a slightly sadistic chuckle when you see one of your monochromes or wild ones used as a "hard" jigsaw! They ARE challenging and fun (in a masochistic sort of way...)

Hi there Ian,

I hope this finds you well.

Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful Christmas this year

for your cyber friendship.

I guess that while we swelter in Darwin Sydney too can turn on the heat fr Christmas ..
Whatever and where ever, may it be a lovely celebration for you.

Here’s the traditional

LEMON CORDIAL
Ingredients:
Juice of 7 large lemons
Grated rind of 5 large lemons
1 kg sugar
1.25 litres of water
25g citric acid
Method:
1.In a large pan, boil up sugar, water, grated peel and citric acid.
2.Take off and add juice, If preferred, this may be strained.
3.Bottle whilst still hot into clean, sterilised (in oven) bottles

Mix it with gin and soda if you want an alcoholic drink, or vodka, or what ever
but I mostly prefer mine just with soda
May 2009 be a healthy, peaceful, joyful, hopeful, satisfying year for you ... and perhaps if you make it to Darwin we'll meet up.
