Hi Sue! I live in Bowie. Halfway between Annaplis and DC. I know Andrews AFB well. My son and his family were stationed there. As a matter of fact, both my grandchildren were born at Malcom Grow!
BTW, you posted your welcome to 'Beast' on my page. I've done that several times. I sometimes post to visitors on my own page
, then wonder why they are not replying!
Where do you live in OK? I have good friens from Tulsa.

Hi Sue Thanks for the visit. I'll leave you some fresh crappie fillets to fry up. I always fillet them as soon as I get back from the lake. I caught a Fish Ohio blue gill last weekend. It's an award for large fish caught in Ohio. Fishing has been off since we have been going thru a draught. I love your pictures. You have a real eye for structure in your photos.

Hi Sue! I like your pictures of the flowers and the frog. Very colorful! I have 3 sisters and 4 brothers. We are close and see each other several times a year. Most of us will be getting together shortly for a graduation celebration at Smuggler's Notch, VT for our 3 high school graduates, my son, my sister's son and my brother's daughter. It should be fun! Have a great day!

Hi Sue - Thanks for your visit. I am glad you had a good day on your Birthday! I love Mexican Food. Our favorites here at home are Chicken Fajitas and LARGE Nachos! I usually make the nachos on a cookie sheet and each person cuts their own. There is nothing better than a fresh batch of salsa, too! Yummy!
How are the hummers? Do you have a lot this year. Mine are keeping me busy. I have been cooking up 4 cups of sugar water about every two days. I just love watching them.

Sue, yes, weren't the Canadian Rockies fun. You mentioned the stone structures that looked like people. Perhaps you'd seen Inukshuks. Check out http://www.hickerphoto.com/inukshuks-5999-pictures.htm and there are other sites with pictures of them. Hundreds were on sale in every gift shop we went into up in that area. I have a picture on my Flickr site of me standing in front of Paul and Babe. You also have a picture of the Golden Gate and a drive through tree. You probably drove right through my town.

Hi Sue. You sure have some lovely flowers in your picture gallery. Are they all from your garden? I love the butterflies. I encourage them to come to my yard, too. I always feel that I will have a good day when I see a butterfly. So far I've never been disappointed!!
Your are right about Pioneer being in California. I live in the mountains, about 50 miles from Lake Tahoe. Please stop by again when you are in the neighborhood.

Hi Sue, Thanks for your visit. We had a great holiday and the Baltic Cruise was fun but rather hectic. The first day was at sea but after that every day was spent sightseeing. We had two days in St Petersburg but other times it was sail by dinnertime, and dock again early next morning to a new city. We mainly did our own thing rather than do an organised tour. We had done a lot of reseach before we left.
I am glad you like my biscuit barrel. It and the teapot belonged to my grandmother. The green vases a G/grandmother. The pink lusters a GG/grandmother and at the back the stoppered carafes a GGG/grandfather. Hubby bought me the Mary Gregory red vases.
I love your photos. I have a few day lilies but non as dark as that purple one.
I have a photo of the Athabasca Falls taken on a throw away Panoramic camera and it gave the full drop of the falls. As good as any taken on our more expensive cameras. (about 10 years ago before we were using digital)
We have been to a few places in US but so far have not been to OK. Maybe one day.

Hi Sue, glad you like Spain. We stay near Marbella when we visit and then travel down the coast to visit places like Rhonda, Caesares and other small towns. A wonderful part of the coast. I'm going again in September and hope to stop in a parador en route to Seville. The Iceland photographs are my sons he went on a trip there earlier this year, he was overawed when he went there and said it was spectacular.

Sue - We really did enjoy our short trip and visit to Graceland, even though it was HOT! I noticed in the paper today that they are pushing to make a $150 million renovation/upgrade to the whole operation.
We just got back from a short 'family' trip to Fort Davis in west Texas. There is a campmeeting that has been going on every summer for over 110 years that my family attends every year. We came back a couple of days early because of some concerns over a warning light on one of the cars - turned into a $500+ repair when Jeanie took it in today.
She and I are taking my Springer Spaniel to Dallas tomorrow to have some x-rays taken (routine check to make sure she doesn't have a hip condition that can make breeding her iffy) - our d-i-l is a vet, so this will save us part of the bill. We will come back Friday, and then I start school on Tuesday!
Hope you have a great trip when you do get to Graceland.

Hi, Sue!
Yep, I'm originally from Wichita. When I was 10 years old, we moved east to Andover where I graduated from H.S. After college (University of Wichita--before it became state), I moved to Rhode Island where I taught four years--then back to Wichita until 1984 when I moved to Massachusetts. Last December, we moved to Florida--north of Tampa--but have kept our house in MA for summers. It was fun meeting Kathy and Rob. I met Ed/Lithia for a Red Sox/Devil Rays game, too. When you come back to Florida, put me on your ''must see'' list.
Oh, before moving to Wichita, my parents lived in Barttlesville!!!

Hi Sue. I live in Kalispell, MT, which is in the northwest corner of the state. Billings is about an eight hour drive from here. I've been to Billings once, when I was in high school. They hosted a state basketball tournament. That seems like a long time ago. :) Thanks for the oatmeal cookies. They should go well with a huckleberry milkshake I've brought you. Enjoy!

Hi Sue! Thanks for visiting and leaving what's got to be one of my all time favorites treats.
I love the picture of the Frank Phillips Home on your page. How wonderfully grand!
Have a wonderful weekend. Here in the northeast we are very cool (70 degreesF) and breezy for the middle of August.
Some day I must visit your state as I am up to now pretty much a New England kind of girl.
Thank you, thank you again for your kind treat.

Hi Sue. Thanks for visiting my page. I love your photo gallery of flowers; obviously you enjoy your yard; my favorite is the little frog sitting in the flower. Here is one of my flowers (allium) as a gift to grace your house
My grandparents used to live on a farm between Coffeeville and Bartlesville for about 3 years. I loved visiting them in the summers. I still have uncles who live in Oklahoma, one in Tulsa and one in Vinita. I'm hoping to visit the one in Vinita soon; he has all the family stories and isn't in good health. If you get an opportunity to visit Utah again, let me know and we'll arrange for visits to some of the lesser-known sites, especially here in northeastern Utah.

Thank you for the Birthday Wishes last week. I had dinner with Mom that evening. She then flew up to Portland, OR for a Class Reunion (68th) and flew back for the wedding on Saturday of her only grand-nephew (my cousin’s son – 41, first marriage). Mom (85) refused to take a nap after getting up at 3 am for the flight back and insisted on driving (through Los Angeles to Orange County) for the wedding – she still drives fast. By the time we got to there we were not speaking & the drive back was even worse – getting home around midnight. The wedding & reception was wonderful (so was the beach party the night before, which Mom had missed). Dad always said the reason we fight, was because we are so much alike – both strong willed women. But, we will always love each other. I left Tuesday, had a meeting in No. Calif. Wednesday afternoon, and decided to camp at Burney Falls State Park – making my dog happy, before returning home. The back is still bothering me – but no violent pains – more of the gnawing variety and when standing up after sitting too long (so there were a lot of stops on the way down and on the way home). Thanks for the good wishes – I’m safe if not sound.
Loved your story about Public Restrooms - considering all the Rest Stops I just got through visiting. (I won't say enjoying!)
