Jamie, I have only just learnt of your Dad's problems and he has my sympathy. A few years ago we were just about to embark on a world tour when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. We had to cancel all our arrangements while I went to hospital for surgery. It took a while to recover but happily I am now well and we reinstated the trip the following year.
I think I am saying have faith in modern medicine, it's pretty good.

Hello Jamie - thanks for your visit.
Yes, the photo taken on the Inca Trail of the Andes is one of my favourite photos from the holiday in Peru and South America.
I believe I read that you are going on a trip to Antartica, am I right. That should be a wonderful experience. Take heaps of photos.
Best wishes to you and your family during these hard times you've been experiencing.
Cheers

Hey Jamie, thanks for popping in - I have not had a chance to read all your postings, but I gather that your father is very ill. I hope the prognosis is positive! Camels - it was quite an experience riding a camel, very uncomfortable and they really smell!

Hi Jamie: How are things on your end?
Thanks for the comment on my page. That bird, a few of its friends, and assorted insects were all keeping me company while I took pictures of the sunset. If you look closely you can see a bit of the sun reflected off its feathers.
Sunset is a magical time of the day - if you don't mind spraying yourself with OFF from head to toe, or the alternative which is becoming the insects main course AND dessert.

Hi Jamie. I'm hopeful that all is well with your Dad and I'm glad you have decided to go on your Alaska cruise. Things won't change one way or the other, and I'm sure you and your wife are overdo for a break and a nice holiday. Hope you have a great time, and my thoughts are with you and your parents.

Jamie, I loved the trip to Alaska! The only thing I didn't like about it was that it ended. I took a seven day one way from Seward Alaska to Vancouver BC and did I mention... I loved it!! It's amazing how quick eight or even ten hours goes by while you are in port. I think you and your wife will have a wonderful time, it's to bad your parents can't make it but that will be a great excuse for you to go back. By the way, if you need a tour guide..... Have fun!

Jamie, I am happy you are enjoying the oldies but goodies. I found a reference listing all kinds of songs, remember them all now that my memory was jogged again. I want to put up a new one each day, so drop in when you can for some music and memories.

When is the alaska cruise? hope you enjoy every moment of it!

I hope your Dad & Mom are doing better! I also hope you and Mrs. Jamie have a WONDERFUL cruise and that the weather is as good as it was for us! Enjoy, relax, and have a great time. Jamie, Hope you are getting to relax a little this summer. I'm sure the cruise will be fantastic! I miss seeing the gorilla, but Mocha is a cutie! If you get a chance, take a look at my flickr photos. I have some new ones of campus. I'm trying to take a few on my days off, when the weather will cooperate that is. I hope you are having a superb week!

Hi Jamie! I have lost track of when you are leaving on your cruise. Maybe I am already too late, but I want to wish you a Bon Voyage! Wish I were clever & had time to come up with a smilie for that! Hope your parents' health problems are somewhat resolved so you can go off & relax without worrying about them too much. (designed for me by Nancy!) & I are having a lovely weekend by ourselves while Rob is in NC. Love your new dog pictures! I'm going to try to post some new ones of Ebony soon. She is growing so fast & went to her first puppy class today. I'll be thinking of you & waiting to see some pics of Alaska when you get back.

Jamie, I had a wonderful time on your flickr pages, the Alaska shots were great. Glad you and Jeannie enjoyed yourselves. As far as coming to Philly for the fourth celebration next year, I'LL try to remind you. If you plan to stay in the hotels, reservations should be made early...April is not too soon since we get quite a crowd here now. It would be grand to meet you and Share some of the beauty and wonders of my birth city. OHHHHH, the puppy is adorable....you must tell me about him when you have time. Hope the parents are resting comfortably, and no new crises have occurred.

Jamie - I didn't read your entry close enough yesterday and I apologize for that! Congratulations on a future daughter-in-law. What an exciting time in your life! I remember when my son asked my daughter-in-law to marry him and she said yes, it brought tears to my eyes and I am not a weepy sort of person! I am very happy for them and your family!

Hi Jamie - My Richfield is in Ohio halfway between Cleveland and Akron. About 7 miles from Lebron's house. Prior to my mini-retirement, I taught math. So maybe 12 weeks was a bit of an exaggeration. When I taught seniors, they finished early, and my last week was very easy. Often the summer would get gobbled up with my masters classes, band camp, and tutoring.
